"The hotel facilities were nice. The private hot tub on the patio was amazing. We were so happy we chose the room we did. Our mini fridge didn't work and when we told the employee at the front desk, he actually just shrugged his shoulders and didn't respond. We mentioned we had purchased food items because we expected to have the fridge. And he didn't respond. So our food spoiled and our plans for having a few things in our room were ruined. "The property far exceeded my expectations. Staff were incredible. Rooms were clean and we got fresh towels daily. So many staff on the grounds doing maintenance daily. The pool was so wonderful and kids stayed whole time in there. Walking distance to plaza with supermarkets and food and cafes and restaurants within 2nd walk also. Cannot fault anything and we will be back "

"The resort is in a great location near the water and walkable to a McDonalds. The restaurant is quite pricey. We ordered pizza and ate in the pub area which was empty. Our room was absolutely filthy, with dead bugs on the night stand and smears on the ceilings and walls. The glass shelving hadn't been cleaned in ages. The bathroom was dank and smelled of mould. We requested a room changed and the lovely lady at the front desk was very accommodating. Our second room was much better, cleaner and...

"Stay here! Our first trip to Rotarua from the US. We initially picked this hotel but then changed our mind for one closer to downtown. Our first night there, we realized it was a mistake but it was too late to cancel. Regardless, we popped over to Newina and booked our second evening here. Comfy beds, great tv selection, qiet rooms, heated pool. Best tissue and toliet paper quality. Milk for coffee, nothing was overlooked. Stay here!"
