"This hotel is a little remote but that adds to the charm. The staff were friendly and treated us well. The room was spacious, a little cool but well designed. There was a microwave and small air fryer and fridge in the room, however no utensils other than disposable bamboo plates and wooden cutlery, it wasn’t used but could be helpful to know. The breakfast was very good, fruit, cereals, pastries and cooked breakfast as well. The resident cat Doris is a gentle and friendly little old lady aged 19, she is a star member of staff "

"Good value for the price. Exceptionally clean.Large spacious room, very comfotable bed. I requested a ground floor room; I was told it would open onto the car park which is in a secure off-street courtyard, but that was actually very convenient for me. Good breakfast. Centrally located in Newbury."
