"We share the positive reviews of many aspects of this property. It's very spacious (although the swing of some doors cause odd pinch points). We were only three, and would have used only the ground floor but for an issue (see later). The kitchen is well equipped, the induction stovetop was great to cook on. The location is properly noted, but Marie's L'épicerie in the village was closed for August vacation. (Which I imagine is an annual event.) That meant we needed to drive 6+ km for morning...

"What an amazing stay we had! All the modern amenities within a cozy and private cabin. Perfect location for hiking and exploring the surrounding trails and towns. La commune de Bernau est magnifique, le depart de balades et nombreuses randonnées. De nombreux lacs (schluchsee, titisee) et cascades à proximité. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir la fête de Hans Thoma durant notre sejour, fête traditionnelle de la forêt noire. "

"We have just enjoyed 4 nights in the apartment (more like a one floor cottage) with the most spectacular views. The owners were very helpful and the property was spotlessly clean and set in beautiful gardens. We ate on the balcony and enjoyed the vista. Everything was exactly as you would wish for with modern design and lovely beams. I can highly recommend this apartment and the surrounding area was stunning. We wish we had booked for a week. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of the Black...

We didn’t swim, but the pool would be a great plus in summer. Staff was efficient, although not overly friendly.
