"Whilst the hotel is a couple of miles from the city centre, the bus service was very good & right outside - the free voucher was much appreciated. Only suggestion would be better coffee in the room, either a nespresso machine (or similar) or even just coffee bags. "

"All good as usual stayed a few times , Two points about Roof Top bar , why when i order at Bar do i get a service charge ?and why cant you just buy a coffee or small breakfast in morning , only option £18.95 Buffet breakfast ! "The general ambience of the hotel is very calm and pleasant. But it lacks attention to detail. Replenishment of the coffee was a bit lax. Decaf coffee pods replaced by normal and i’m not allowed to drink caffeine! The bed springs were sticking through and the hotel needs a refurbishment. The restaurant is okay fo breakfast but not for an evening meal. My big gripe is that management couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge my concerns It’s convenient and staff try hard but … "

"Hotel was very nicely done. Room was spacious and clean with modern fittings. It's walking distance into Cambridge. A few things prevented it from being a 5-star experience unfortunately: - Purposely 'dumbed down' Smart TV in the room: upon switch-on, the screen displayed 'Samsung Smart TV' but it just had Freeview with the majority of channels missing. "Stayed for 1 night for my husband's birthday. Horwood house sent me options for additional extra's that I could add to our stay at a price such as cake etc. I chose not to add any thing on as they were quite expensive. Lots of parking on site & parking is free which is very helpful. Check in was super easy & quick. "Booked as a night away to visit Cambridge with my two young children. Our room wasn’t ready at check in time which was disappointing but without having to ask we were offered free drinks and activity packs for the kids along with apologies. Cookies too! Holiday Inn Express Milton Keynes, an IHG Hotel

Very nice hotel and great staff

"It was great, when me and my dad first got there a lady who was dealing with a customer before, said she would be with us soon. Then a Chinese lady who's name I forgot to get came with a smile and greeted us. She was very professional, informative and friendly, was a pleasure to be served by her. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Love the fact that the door to get into the showerroom can also separate the toilet from the sink & shower for extra privacy if needed. Only thing about the room was because I booked a double bed with a sofa bed just in case the bed wasn't big enough for me and my dad. I expected to see a duvet cover and a sheet within it, which it wasn't. Could ofcourse asked for them but thankfully the bed was big enough for us to share. Breakfast was good, unfortunately no fried eggs or mushrooms but for a free breakfast can't nobody complain. Scrambled eggs and beans are okay, croissants are nice. Sausages are quite nice to but I feel the bacon was the best out of everything. Would definitely stop again in the future at some point if required. "

Crimbo limbo family break

"Much needed short family break to go to Snozone, iFly, Cineworld, crazy golf and more. Hotel was the perfect location for this. Room was very comfortable and buffet brekfast was very good. "
