Luxury Birthday Weekend

From the beginning to the end, Mike and Debby are fantastic hosts! The property is better than it is listed! All of the furniture, bedding, linens, appliances are so clean and of high quality. The location is close to nice walks, and lots of fun in nearby Carlsbad. I was there with girlfriends to celebrate my birthday, but it would be fantastic for families as well. We had so much fun playing games in the yard and choosing from the huge assortment of other games to play. Mike and Debby have thought of EVERYTHING you could need and more! We really didn’t want to leave! We cannot say enough good things about this home away from home. Book your stay and you will be delighted!

Casa De Kona

My family had an excellent stay here. The home was modern and clean and the property was beautiful. Mike and Debbie were good communicators and the little touches they added made us feel welcomed and at home. Our stay was top notch.

Wonderful Top 10 property!!

Resort level luxury in a family friendly package

Mike and Debby have a beautiful house. They made our stay easy, relaxing, and private. They provided a luxury and thoughtfulness you find in a family friendly resort. I would highly recommend to anyone with a large family - BOOK IT!

Perfect for Family Vacation

My family and I had a amazing time staying at Casa De Kona! Everything was very comfortable and clean, there was plenty of space both indoor and outdoor, and they provided every amenity. Communication with Mike and Debbie was so easy, they were very accommodating allowing us to check in early and providing quick responses. Overall we had an incredible experience and would absolutely recommend their place!

Thanksgiving getaway

The best vacation home we have ever stayed in. Our family was blown away by the beautiful home and thoughtfulness that was put into this home. There was activities and games for the kids to play with. Every room having a tv was amazing also. With kids and teenagers being able to watch the shows they wanted. There is so much space in this home to relax and feel like you are on vacation. Our family will definitely be staying here again!

Family Friendly

Great communication and easy access getting in. Very well stocked, including condiments, herbs and spices, along with games. The outdoor area was great! The family enjoyed the yard games and also the outdoor kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. Probably the best vacation rental we have ever gotten.

Outstanding Family Vacation Venue for all age groups

Casa De Kona is by far the best vacation venue we have ever occupied. Two very tastefully decorated homes connected by a breeze way. Many games/toys for all from toddlers to adults. Hosts furnished numerous, thoughtful amenities/extras. Our event was a birthday party and small family reunion. There were many small tables & comfortable settings scattered throughout property for individuals/family members to visit. I would give it more than five stars if I could.

Exceeded expectations!

We had such a great time here! From the initial communication to the last home detail, they really thought of everything to be home away from home. It was comfortable, cozy and had everything we needed for a long, rainy weekend. We were happy to stay and enjoy the comforts of this home. The beds were so comfortable, everything was very clean, and there were great toys and family-friendly things to do at the house and backyard. Stocked with all the kitchen appliances you could need and spices, etc we were happy to stay and cook for most meals. A great property and host and we hope to come back in the future!

Great Property w/ Amazing Outdoor Space!

So glad that we got this VRBO. The two homes on the same property allowed for our large party to have some great space for sleeping, two kitchens for cooking and eating, 4 full baths to accommodate the many people, and the outdoor space was so perfect and comfortable. The patio fire and heaters were perfect for the slight November chill. Also it was great to have all the beach items needed for a fun day at the beach. Thanks so much Mike and Debby for a great experience.

Wonderful!

This property is amazing and the owners were fantastic to communicate with! The house is unique and very well appointed. The owners also go the extra mile to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Our group consisted of 4 adults and our combined 7 kids (ages 11-18). There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and make themselves comfortable, as well as ample entertainment options available for our all to enjoy. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly need, and the outdoor space was fabulous. When in the area in the future, we will definitely plan to stay here again.

Awesome property!

This is an amazing property and is in excellent condition. I cannot think of any amenities that were not included: beach chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, beach mat, sand toys for children, beach wagons to haul your gear. Back yard has patio heaters and gas grills ( we rented both units)and tons of toys and games for families. Patio furniture is in excellent condition as is the rest of the property. This is a very clean and well cared for property. Perfect place for family’s to stay and enjoy the So Cal coastal lifestyle! Owners are very responsive and easy to deal with.

Great multi family stay

We had three families staying here. Plenty of communal and individual space with plenty of outdoor furniture and heating lamps. The house is stocked with everything you need from standard pots and pans to instant pots, waffle makers, board games, TVs in every room, ev charger in the garage. Haven’t stayed in a rental so well equipped as Casa De Kona. The beach and great restaurants are a short drive away. The hosts are wonderful. They are quick to reply to texts and genuinely want to make your stay the best possible. The personal touches like the complimentary snacks, waters and the hand written welcome card really stand out. Highly recommended for large groups especially families and will definitely rent again!

Pictures don't do it justice

This property is essentially 2 homes connected by an amazing backyard area that includes an open and enclosed outside sitting area. The front house has 3 bedrooms but the back house has 2 bedrooms with an extremely nice kitchen and huge counter top area for family gatherings and meals. There is a nice sitting area in the enclosed outside area for meals, too. Both kitchens were fully stocked and we did not have a need for anything. We were a 15 minute walk to the beach and close to restaurants and grocery stores. Even during this Covid time, our families didn't want to go anywhere but enjoy the backyard. We would definitely come back and stay at this property. The owners were very nice and easy to deal with. We felt right at home. You can't go wrong with your experience with Michael and Debby.

BEST rental experience!

Hands down the smoothest experience we have had doing a vacation rental! Very impressed with Mike and Debby’s home and hospitality. They take great care of their property and their guests. Upon arriving, we were welcomed with fresh fruit, snack bags and not to mention fully stocked kitchen, toiletries, kids activities, remote controlled lighting and fans in each room, luxury linens and plenty of closet space. The backyard is a crowd pleaser with island vibes and plush patio furniture and fire pit table. The location is minutes away from the sand and in the garage are plenty of family-friendly beach gear like wagons, coolers, towels, beach blankets, sand toys and more. We did not have to go out and buy or travel with these items. It made our stay smooth sailing. The one thing that I want to highlight is the fact that there are TWO full-sized kitchens, including two refrigerators and each kitchen has its own set of cooking utensils, pots, pans, rice cookers, slow cookers, blenders and waffle makers. I can’t seem to run out of plus sides of this rental. Book your stay now!!!

Best of the Best

The property is even more spectacular than the photos portray! It is large and gracious with beautiful flow. The furniture and beds are comfortable as well as attractive. There is both a real peace to the home as well as a big WOW factor. The covered outside room is enormous and has games, yard toys, coloring books, crayons. The backyard is nestled a few steps below the wrap-around patio, so the kiddies could play as the adults talked and ate. We booked the whole property for our extended family of ten, including four kids: infant, 2, 3, 7. The two youngest slept in the provided pack-n-plays. The older two loved the bunkbed in the "Disney room." The two toddlers ate at their child sized table and chairs. The rest of us fit comfortably around one of the dining sets outside with baby in the provided high chair. We went to the beach twice, better equipped than we've ever been - with boogie boards, umbrellas, chairs, towels, mats, coolers and a big old WAGON to schlep it all. Our 7-year-old went boogie-boarding for the first time and we had to drag her out of the water two days straight. Mike and Debby really are super-hosts. Debby answered all my questions before we arrived promptly and thoroughly. She was vicariously excited for us to come and experience their home and their town. Again - no amount of hype was an exaggeration. It truly was a dream vacation for us. THANK YOU!

Family Stay

Debbie and Mike were amazing hosts! They were quick to respond and flexible in an accommodating our stay. The home was a perfect fit for our family, the backyard had plenty of room and space for our group and many activities to keep us entertained. Would definitely stay again!
