"This is a very beautiful, comfortable home in a quiet residential neighbourhood, with close access to the village center and nice restaurants there, as well as easy access to roads in all directions to vineyards and other local attractions. The house itself is clearly used solely as a rental property. The living room and deck are very comfortable, but bedrooms are pretty spartan: just a bed and an overhead lightbulb in each, but very little wall decor, no bedside tables, no lamps, no...

"The property was clean and tidy. The beds were incredibly comfortable with lovely sheets and pillows. The kids enjoyed the tub. Splash planet was close by. The house was unlocked when we arrived and the key didn’t seem to work but that was fine. "

"Lots of character. The unit was very clean. Has everything you could need as a family. Location is fantastic and backs onto the beach. 10 min drive from town. Paul is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. We'll definitely be back to stay next time we're in Napier. "

"Stayed 3 nights, with friends from overseas, for a concert at Black Barn. House was beautifully renovated and had everything needed for a wonderful stay. The host Rebekah was lovely to deal with. Great location on the main road between Havelock North and Hastings, 5 minutes walk into lovely Havelock township and 30 minutes from Napier. Great base for exploring this region with its close proximity to the towns, vineyards and Te Mata Peak for a birds eye view of the area. Highly recommend. "
