"This is the first time we have been disappointed in a VRBO rental. I assumed that apartments had to comply with a check list of required items but apparently that is not true. The kitchen lacked a microwave, a toaster, a coffee maker (one larger than the smallest stove top espresso maker), bread knife and cutting board, paper towel, hot pads, and the list could go on. "The photos and descriptions of the charming apartment are very accurate. The floor to ceiling windows lookout over a beautiful park and the apartment is very spacious. It’s a good location for walking the city to historical sites and restaurants and shopping. The host ombretta is a charming woman who has lived there all her life and made us feel very welcome. "Staying at Corte Stellata was wonderful. Emanuela, Gabrielle and Sophia were welcoming and helpful hosts. The apartment was beautifully appointed, clean and restful. It’s close proximity to Ferrara made it easy to see the historical highlights there, while it’s location in a rural village lent an authentic feel to our visit. Walking on the rural roads and dike along the Po was safe and easy. A lovely retreat!"

"The property was in a lovely, quiet location in the historic centre of Ferrara. We enjoyed a comfortable, quiet stay. The only hitch was that we had not realised that the single bedroom is about four small flights of stairs down from the rest of the house. Both my husband and I require a toilet on the same floor as a bedroom. We also sleep in separate bedrooms. This was resolved by using the sofa bed.
