Best Western Hotel Astrid
5/5 Excellent
"As an American visiting as a tourist, I was very comfortable in this hotel. The staff spoke English so communication was easy. The room came with snacks that were restocked every day free of charge, including Italian-brand water, juice, Coke, crackers/chips, and cookies. Towels replaced as needed (when put on floor) and beds made every day like any other Best Western, bathroom and shower are familiar to use and cleaned up every day, shampoo was restocked but we had to ask for bars of soap from the desk. Breakfast is completely worth it, especially if you are also a tourist, plenty of food options for the price and one less meal to worry about. There are at least 2 bus stops and a tram stop nearby for public transit. I will caution three things, although your experience may vary: 1. We could not get our HVAC unit working, but cracking the window of our room did the trick to keep us cool and comfortable all night, 2. The walls are thin so you might be able to hear your neighbors, and by opening the window you may hear activity from the street, 3. Italy's taxes are charged during check out and are not included in the price you pay to Expedia, so be prepared for that. It was a nice, modest hotel, and we had a great time in Italy!"
