"I booked this house because of the location and fantastic price. It was adorable and exactly as expected. I couldn't get the dryer door to open but I think that may have been operator error. The property managers, Duncan and Laurie with Tortuga, went above and beyond to make my stay not just ok, but exceptional. While this unit stood, it’s clear it was flooded and this host did minimal rehab before renting through VRBO. In fact, the entire community is under a “boil-water” mandate, the “central air-conditioning” was a window unit, the interior doors were swollen and didn’t close. Add to that mouse droppings, mold, and a washer that still contained salt and rust from the 2022 flood....
