"First appearances aren't the best. The drive into the property is very narrow and between high walls. The entrance to the drive is off a one-way street, so needs to be approached from the right end. The property doesn't look good from outside either. Once inside, though, everything is fine. Jackson couldn't be more attentive or helpful, the room was good and breakfast was great. The location is ideal - a few minutes up the hill to the Castle and Cathedral or a few minutes down to the waterfront."

"My stay at the Goat House was magical. The decor and the whole ambiance were superb as was the service. Samantha was very welcoming and extremely helpful. I arrived somewhat later than expected. I was on my way to a function which was further away than anticipated. Samantha kindly offered to take me there and collect me afterwards. This made the whole evening far more enjoyable for me as i didn't have to worry about driving and maybe getting lost. Breakfast was brought to me in the morning...

"We have stayed at Brampton Farm before, you are always made to feel welcome, the owners are very friendly and accomodating, they work very hard to keep this little gem of a b&b to a very high standard. The rooms are fun comfortable and quirky with ensuit facilities. The breakfast is excellent, a full english, cooked to order with fresh homemade bread every morning a huge china tea pot and cups and sauces to match in a true farmhouse style dining room, what more could you ask for. "This was a wonderful house to stay in, it worked especially for us just wanting the one night, with a bath and allowing dogs! So it ticked all the boxes for us. The bedroom is huge with an en-suite bath and shower room next door. Imogen and Terry were the perfect hosts and breakfast was enough to feed many more than just the two of us!"
