Perfect spot, conveniently located close to all the amazing amenities Norfolk has to offer. Cottage was incredibly well-kept, clean, and a wonderful home front for our family getaway.
A very nice and clean place. Hope we can come back again

The steep stairs are not for everyone but the property had a lovely view and it had all the amenities you would ever need. No beach within walking distance, but a short drive to Long Point to beautiful public beach is worth it.
Nice and cozy property. Small but just enough for 2 people. Everything necessary for comfortable stay is provided. However, property a little far from beaches.

Karen had everything you could imagine available to use, from fire wood to herbs to use for cooking. The house was very clean and nicely decorated.

problems with the second bedroom
The view on Lake Erie was nice despite the heavy rain. We arrived in the dark so we had real difficulty to find the second bedroom. There was no hint that it was outside the apartment, upstairs somewhere.
The Dwelling is truly a Dream, updated with the most modern features only found in Model Custom homes! The attention to detail and cleanliness is second to none! The communication between the owner and ourselves certainly instills confidence! Definitely would return and recommend to others!
The cottage is great. Beautifully decorated on the inside with everything you need for that well deserved away time. Cozy and very comfortable. The outside is more rustic with a patio and little alcoves here and there. There is a stair climb to get to the cottage but there is a lift to take any belongings etc to the cottage which is located on the side of a hill. This offers a great view of the marina and lake. Very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time visiting vineyards, taking in the sites etc,.

The property was so serene and quiet and private-a real plus. The only thing that for us that we didn't know was that the bedroom was not a seperate room. There were so many bonus aspects though. There was a firepit, several seating options and a lift because it was on a hill making it super private. Also a great bbq and the cottage had all supplies and even tv options.Loved it.

This is a lovely open concept cottage with great view of the marina and lake through the large livingroom windows. Tastefully decorated, exceptionally clean, and everything looks fresh. The cottage is equipped with everything we needed, including Wifi, TVs, etc. Comfortable beds. (Note: the 2nd bedroom is the bunkie, which is quaint and comfortable) Good temperature control with A/C in the cottage and bunkie. Very responsive host (Karen) who quickly responded to messages. This property would be a challenge for those with mobility issues, because of the stairway access. Would recommend bringing a flash light to get to the bunkie at night.
This dock-side cottage offers a very peaceful and quiet retreat. This cottage is very nicely decorated and includes a fully equipped kitchen, gas BBQ, outdoor seating and eating areas along with a firepit and entertainment/wifi options in the home. The "bunkie" is a separate rustic cabin room with only a double bed in it, so one must manage two sets of stairs down a vine covered hillside to access the toilet inside the main cottage in the middle of the night-that process can be a challenging exercise in rainy weather. The luggage lift is a helpful option, but using it can be a tense experience as well. The outdoor shrubs and ground cover were overgrown, so that views to the lake were obstructed and the vines were beginning to grow over the steps and pathways around the cottage. But the general location of the cottage allowed us to explore the local area and we enjoyed our time here. The host was flexible, kind and timely with all communications.
We enjoyed every moment at Karen's beautiful home! The split-level property was really unique with plenty of spaces for our 2-year old to climb and explore. And it was comfortable for the grandparents after the initial set of stairs to get to the top of the hill. Everything in the home was modernized and equipped to make our stay very comfortable. There is enough entertainment to keep ourselves occupied indoors (and on the covered porch outdoors) as it rained the entire first day we arrived. There are no real walls that separate the main bedroom from the living room sofa-bed (all open concept) so should the house need to be shared for sleeping, I'd recommend those who snore to stay up in the separate bunkie 🙉 (very comforable and cozy nonethless and with a/c) or bring along ear plugs! the.re was plenty of towels and bedding items, and the kitchen was stocked with utensils and basic pantry items (cooking oil, seasonings, etc.), including filtered Brita water. The mechanic lift to bring the coolers and luggage up was super helpful. The property is surrounded with foilage and it was a nice treat to see fireflies at night. Turkey Point is about 15 mins away, and Port Dover about 30 mins away so be sure to sample some Perch and Pickeral which is offered on just about every menu. Vineyards and farm shops selling local produce are all enroute to break up the drive from the city. Karen was easily reachable when we had questions. We would definitely love to stay here again!
Clean and well equipped. Everything you could have possibly thought of was in this home and everything was of great quality! Well well equipped kitchen. From spices to wrappings and plenty dishes and pots and pans. Our family enjoyed it here and was in close vicinity to a wedding we were attending. Highly recommend
We had a fun stay in this beautiful cottage. Everything we could possibly need was included. The beds were very comfortable and my friend just loved the little bunkie. People were very friendly in the area, I even had a flat tire as I picked up a nail on my drive there and the neighbours helped me inflate my tire and got me to a mechanic close by. It only took about a half hour out of my day and made it so it didn’t stress out our trip. Will definitely stay again!
Very nice place. Direct access to the marina was nice as we brought the boat.
Unfortunately the fish were not very cooperative but overall a great getaway
The property was exactly as shown. Nothing over fancy. The part we loved was the solitude. The disappointment was the view was not what I had hoped for (just more boat docks to look over than I imagined.). The hosts were spectacular at communicating! I would go again!
Fun simple day trips to farms and wine tasting. Not the hurry of an over planned vacation.
Close to beaches and wineries! Beautiful cottage; very well stocked with everything you need and more!!! Nice view of the lake. Stairs to cubbie are a little more challenging.
The cottage was very unique and had everything we needed. The area is beautiful with lots to do around. Karen, our host was very kind and accomodating.
It was a very nice get away spot.
