"An incredible gem: the family house on the shore you never had. Its trees, and the view onto the unbuilt side of the Niantic, makes you feels worlds away. Best outdoor shower east of the Big Island. Not just a "base" from which to do other things, it's a vacation in itself. Excellent, easy kayaking. Cool walk-in pantry, and lots of other throwback details in this 19th-century house. "This cottage is just as nice as pictured on the website! It was clean, the AC was a plus to have during a heatwave. They have done a super renovation. The bed was very comfortable. Having a beach pass was greatly appreciated. The Dunn's Corner Market has a great deli with prepared meals and hot choices for those who don't want to cook. Less than 5 minutes from cottage. Sunnyside Up restaurant has a great breakfast/lunch with reasonable prices also at Dunn's Corner. They also have super baked...

"I was in the area for my niece's college graduation at Wesleyan University and loved the chance to explore this beautiful part of the country. Being so close to the water in Old Saybrook was amazing, and the house itself was both fresh and cozy. The hosts were very responsive, and the only issue (which they acknowledged in advance) was that a portion of the fence was missing, due to a recent storm. That said, they were up front and apologetic, knowing that I'd booked because my dogs were along....

"I always enjoy my stay here with my dog. This is truly one of the best hosts here and one of the best properties along with their other ones. It’s a great neighborhood and area right by the beach. The house is delightful every time I stay there there is something new they are always updating and making sure it is immaculately cleaned. Comfortable and well-maintained.
