"Beautiful property and rooms. Checkin and checkout service was excellent. Dining is next to the Nile which has beautiful views. Breakfast buffet was just ok compared to other places I have stayed and options/service was very lacking at breakfast. Overall and excellent stay and value and would recommend it."

"Our room needed some maintenance and we assume had not been used for sometime. For example, the sliding door to the balcony screeched loudly when we opened and closed it. The bathroom looked like it had been poorly finished around the bath and sink. The shower wasn't easy to use. Otherwise we enjoyed the view from our room across the Nile, the pool area was very nice. Service for drinks and food was incredibly slow - it looked like there was only one staff member dedicated to serving everyone....

"Guest relation manager Reham had contacted us prior to our visit to ensure that any of our special requests could be accommodated. Maria was very helpful at check-in and offered us a complimentary upgrade and even arranged for a cake to celebrate our son's birthday. The location of the property on the top of the hill was quite unique and gave a view of the unfinished obelisk and the Nile, with good sunrise/sunset view. Would definitely recommend this property."

"The hotel was exactly what I wanted. Our room was comfortable and interesting, the people were lovely and helpful. The food was tasty and the view spectacular. Some of our taxi and tuktuk drivers needed help finding the correct hotel, but we were not in such a rush that it was a problem."

"The hotel lobby was beautiful and was being renovated. Beautiful tranquil paintings adored the walls. In the room, the shower hose had a hole so they replaced the hose and the shower head - it was great. "I cannot imagine a more spectacular view of the Temple of Phillae and the beautiful authenticity of the Eco Nubia Ecolodge. We stayed as a family in a double and a quadruple. We all loved the feel of the Ecolodge and the staff was kind, and so very effective. We pre-ordered dinner and it was delicious! We loved the tagine and other options. It was magical to take the boat to the Ecolodge, and then they made arrangements for our 4:30am departure with a porter who lugged down 10 suitcases...

"Its small hotel in Nubian village, basic by the standards of city hotels but warmth & hospitality of the staff & management was truly unforgettable. Charming place, helpful staff

"The hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was really on the ball. They arranged a car for us to Luxor, with a couple of stops along the way (I recommend this). The only drawback for some people may be that it's adjacent to the bazaar. We found it charming to sit on the balcony and observe the hustle and bustle of the bazaar. Also, it closed at a reasonable hour. Still, if you want peace and quiet at 8am, you may want to at least ask for a room on the other side of the hotel. "
