"The hotel was gorgeous! It was very well located near the station, numerous restaurants, and shopping. The buses for temples and shrines as well as tours to the lake and waterfalls were very close by. The onsen was AMAZING and tattoo friendly! The breakfast was plentiful and hearty. I am vegan and my daughter is not. We were both satisfied. The view from the hotel of the mountains was SPECTACULAR! I really wish we had reserved more than one night. I will be back for sure. "

"The place was okay, but a bit rundown. We went as a family, and I would not recommend doing so as there is only one shared shower for the entire place, which makes the stay a bit inconvenient. We had two rooms -- one was renovated and looked okay, while the other was more rundown and not so nice. The toilets upstairs were also a bit old, but the one downstairs was renovated and much nicer. So it's a bit hit and miss. As this is bit rural, there are quite a bit of bugs around as well. The area...

"A lovely little spot, next to the river. You can hear the river lightly in the background from my room, which made it lovely to fall asleep to. A very friendly, warm welcome. Clean, comfortable - the only thing to note is if you’re arriving in the evening like I was, and walking from bus stop, it can be a dark walk, especially if you’re alone. But waking up there is beautiful surrounded by forests. The onsen is lovely too, looking out over the river, and private! "
