"Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price"

"This home was good for a 2 night trip. We were in the area to see Hobbiton, glow worm caves, and do a hot air balloon. This was a central location for all three. The lake across the street was pleasant and enhanced the trip. Great for morning workout/walk. Around the corner was a workout station that got the job done. There were only 2 bathrooms and showers. The host was responsive and friendly. The courtyard was nice for reading. "

"Thanks for an awesome long weekend - we explored a little bit of Cambridge & discovered how cool it was. The local shops, Saturday market & bike hires were all really easy. There’s a great Lake walk minutes away & amazing local Italian for dinner. Thanks for making it easy to enjoy. The fresh flowers in the rooms were a lovely, welcoming touch."

"It's a villa - so it has it's quirks. But that's the beauty of it and Tracey was always quick to answer our call whenever we discovered said quirks. The beds are divine and we had the best nights sleep. The facilities are great - everything you need when you're at a week long event at Lake Karapiro. Only issue for a "sports family" was no microwave to heat up the carb meals and limited space in the fridge for all our meal and lunch supplies - which was also due to the array of lovely...

"The views are beautiful and the accommodation is very comfortable. It's close to Wairere Falls, Hobbiton and the Firth Tower estate museum. The owners are friendly and invited us along to watch some of their cows give birth."

"Great property for our 2 night stay. Hobbiton around 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of restaurants in nearby Matamata. We particularly liked The Osteria recommended by Kylie our host. The property is spotlessly clean. Kylie provided us with a continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and homemade yoghurt. Kylie was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend "

"Just such a beautiful location and charming house. We found the lay out and garden perfect for a family group trip to the Bay of Plenty to catch up with Nanna. So relaxing and peaceful. Host where fantastic communicators and so easy to work with as I had to make a few changes as everyone's plans fell into place. We had 4 generations and everyone loved the villa and gardens "

Everything was just perfect from the stunning views to the outdoor soaker tubs to the welcome gifts to the impeccable hospitality. We just can't recommend the cottage enough when you are looking for a serene spot away from the hustle and bustle. Treat yourself to this incredible holiday getaway."

"Starlight valley was even better then we could imagine. There is not words for its beauty. It was close to lots of great hiking and 20 min to hobbiton. The Host Rachel was the kindest most helpful person and was the savior of our trip after we had some car issues. She was a great example of the kind hearted Kiwi people. Would defiantly love to stay again."

"This is one of the best tiny home accommodation experiences. The tiny home itself is very modern and all the minor details and extras were much appreciated! Located on a farm that makes you feel like you really are in New Zealand! The outdoor fire brazier was a nice touch, bbq available to use as well Clean quality linens and a comfy bed meant a good night's sleep. "Fabulous stay. Set up of house suited our family and with having a bed downstairs as well as beds upstairs gave space and privacy. Large deck was great as weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the beautiful views."
