"I have stayed at 5 motels in the last year. The colonial house motorway is by far the cleanest, newest, and safest I've felt in any of these. The room felt like it was upgraded in paint/flooring/bathroom fictures within the last 5 years which is not an easy find for motels. It is right in Perth despite the address and you are a 5 minute drive from EVERYTHING. Would come back! The only comment I have is that the lighting is quite cool-toned/fluorescent. They weren't too bright or glaring, I just think if as bulbs in lamps were replaced as needed with warm toned bulbs it would push the rooms over the edge for comfort. Not a big deal - just personal preference. The staff was incredible and there was no credit card hold like most which I don't always have the money to cover with. 10/10!"

"The communication with Andriy was excellent. We recieved a nice detailed note with everything we might need to know about our stay. VRBO had served us this stay when we did a filtered search for places with a hot tub and we saw one in the pictures. When we found the tub empty, we reached out to ask how to set it up, only to be informed that it didn't work. Andriy explained that they had never listed it as an amenity, and generously offered us a partial refund. I was grateful for the sincerity and transparency of the interaction. The place was very clean when we arrived. The sofa is not terribly comfortable, especially as a bed, but it was good enough. The proper bed was super comfy and what a treat it was to wake up to the gorgeous view over the lake. The grey decor felt quite out of place for a lakefront cabin, but the plaid blanket and cushions helped. My one big suggestion for the interior would be lamps: the ceiling full of undimable cool white pot lights was way too bright for my friend and me, and while we did figure out a solution for a comfortable light level, it wasn't great. The kitchen was also well-appointed, other than lacking a ladle, and having a dishwasher was so so appreciated! Finally, the location and setting are truly wonderful. Easy to access, super quiet, gorgeous lake views, animals and their tracks. I would absolutely recommend staying here and as long as you're not expecting cottage vibes, you'll be happy."

"Our family (5 adults, 3 kids and a dog) rented the cottage for New Years Eve! It was amazing! Easy to get to, and had everything we possibly could need! Forest had amazing communication with us and readily available if needed. Our hope is to be able to go back in the summer time.Thank you Forest for renting us your beautiful property!
