First off, we couldn’t verify the property was pet friendly from the website, but we could’ve called before booking. So that’s on us. But we were frustrated because we were told by the leader at the desk if we call Expedia they would cancel our reservation and the hotel would approve the refund. We canceled but they did not refund.
Regardless of the pet policy, upon pulling into the parking lot, we were already prepared to go somewhere else. It’s sketchy there. There was what looked like some kind of parking lot party happening. A lot of questionable people and questionable activity in the parking lot, many who seemed to be living there, rather than just staying a night or two. We did not stay the night, but from what we saw, the parking lot was gross, the lobby didn’t look clean, there was a smell. The photos online make it look relatively clean and nice, but it’s a catfish motel. Look at the many recent 1 star google reviews. Google earth street view will give you a better picture. It is a rough motel in a bad area of town.
