Water Front Log Cottage With Access To Outdoor Community Pool

We welcome you to this gorgeous log vacation home which is located in one of the North Shore's most sought after cottage communities, The Hebrides in New London. This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom cottage sits on a water front lot which overlooks The New London Bay. The gated community of The Hebrides offers a private community centre, large inground swimming pool (opened July 1-Sept 1) and "pitch and putt" par 3 nine hole golf course.

When you enter the cottage you will be greeted with the beautiful pine woodwork that is floor to ceiling throughout. The vaulted ceilings makes the cottage feel open and airy. Take a deep breath and look out the floor to ceiling windows that overlook the water.

The main floor features the open concept living room, kitchen and dining area which has a heat pump that offers air conditioning. Through the kitchen area is the master bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom.

Upstairs is a loft area with desk and office chair, and a couch. The perfect place to curl up and read a book, or get some work done. There is also a bedroom with a Queen bed and a bathroom that features a standup shower.

The lower level has 10 ft ceilings and large windows that let in a ton of light, and make you feel like you are still on the main floor of the cottage. There are 2 bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a queen bed and bunk beds, 1 bathroom and a sitting area with a daybed which offers another sleeping space if guests aren't wanting to share one of the other rooms.

Outside, enjoy the large wraparound deck that offers shade on hot summer days. The cottage is also equipped with an outdoor bbq.

The cottage includes Internet with a 2 TV's, PVR, Adult and children's board games, books and magazines, beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, children's sand toys, outdoor games and a BBQ. It has a Heat Pump that provides air conditioning and heat. There is also an electric fireplace. Also, there are for babies and toddlers: Stair gates, a high chair and a stow and go crib.

The cottage is only 5 minutes from Stanley Bridge, 10 minutes to Cavendish, 30 minutes to Charlottetown, and 20 minutes to Summerside. Check out all the amazing nearby restaurants (all within 15 minutes), Carr's Oyster Bar, Sou'West Bar & Grill, Chez Yvonne's and the famous New Glasgow Lobster Suppers. Are you a golfer? PEI has some of the best World Class Golf Courses in Canada. Four are within 20 minutes of the cottage; Green Gables (a 100 year old Stanley Thompson course), Eagles Glenn (excellent practice facility), Anderson Creek and Glasgow Hills.

A National Parks Pass is available for use during your stay, and the property is also certified by Tourism PEI.

AMAZING SUNSETS
The perfect location for a fabulous getaway. We were a party of 6 women who travel from Ontario, NB and NS for a reunion. The chalet had all the amenities you could ask for. We enjoyed fires on the beach and watched the amazing sunsets on the deck.

PEI cottage
Cottage was cozy and clean. Our view and sunsets were amazing. A little windy at times but overall very well maintained and equipped with almost everything you need. A lot of stairs not a great place for seniors.

Great amenities, excellent location
We had a very nice stay at this property. It was very clean upon arrival. The kitchen had lots of utensil, pots, pans etc. The beds were comfy and the black out shades in the master were great. They also had some beach toys and lots of beach towels which was great for the kids. Wish they had some children friendly dishes/cups. Also wish they had a fire pit, but were able to make our own on the beach to make s’mores. We did experience an off putting “septic-ish” smell in the basement 2 of the days we were there. I emailed the property management company to let them know, but heard nothing back. Luckily opening the windows seemed to help. The location was great, so close to Cavendish and also to Kensington. And the neighbours were lovely, super friendly. We enjoyed the pool (although it was a bit chilly) and were disappointed that the tennis court didn’t exist anymore. Overall, a great PEI vacation.

Hebrides rental - June 25-July 2
This is a beautiful home that was great for our multi-generational family vacation. There was enough room for everyone to gather while also affording everyone the space to spread out. -BEDROOMS: all good sized with comfortable beds, quality linens, and practical bathrooms on each floor. The layout of the home is well designed for groups and very well stocked (utensils, appliances, towels, etc.) -OUTDOORS: breathtaking views and incredible sunsets from the patio. We loved walking along the water looking for shells and watching the fishing boats. The owners have added comfortable outdoor seating areas which we enjoyed for morning coffee, evening wine, watermelon eating and shell sorting. They have also equipped the home with quality outdoor lawn games which we took full advantage of on the large, grassy lot. LOCATION: convenient to Stanley Bridge for fresh seafood, Cavendish for kids activities (Sandspit & water park) and amazing beaches and golf (all within about 20-25 minutes once you are off of the subdivision which takes an additional few minutes to exit (dirt road). HEBRIDES AMENITIES: the golfers in our group really enjoyed using the 9hole pitch&putt during our stay. What a bonus!!! This, along with the tennis and heated pool, were a main reason why we originally chose this property, but we were somewhat disappointed to learn upon our arrival that the pool only opened on July 1st, and that there was actually no tennis - the court had overgrown and all nets and fences removed… (don’t know if it will eventually be resurrected?) We of course did not let this dampen our vacation spirits, but would have been good to know ahead of time to manage everyone’s expectations. When we did get to use the pool on the last day of our trip it was great! This property is really special, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a waterfront North shore property close to golf, beaches, and seafood, especially if travelling in a small group. If I could offer any suggestions for what could make this property EVEN MORE amazing: - include PEI Park pass(es) in the rental - include clubhouse dates in the listing & update for available amenities - add steps/ramp to beach area - add watercraft to the rental to enjoy on the bay (kayaks/canoe)? - if fires are allowed on the beach, add a pit/ring. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us!! If any of the above are added we will certainly be back!
