Dinner was excellent and reasonably priced and breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty. There is a good choice of food on the dinner menu. The rooms were good for the price and breakfast was included. "We’ve stayed at the Crossways several times over the past 5 years and have ALWAYS had a pleasant stay however, on this occasion although the accommodation was the usual high standard the food in the restaurant was very poor, we did mention this so the staff were aware, the food was poorly presented and quite chewy (I’m particularly talking about the lasagne) the gluten free options for my mother were limited (no gf bread/bun) they used do amazing chunky chips but are now soggy fries, I’m not...

"My room was directly over the bar area downstairs so was noisey until closing time. All the staff were very polite and friendly. The food was excellent, my only complaint would be that my main course came out when i was only half way through my starter. The room was spacious but cleaning is the biggest let down for this place, thick dust in the hard to reach places and liquid spray stain around the mirror. Overall enjoyed my stay."
