"Check in was very strange and not welcoming- the woman at the desk did not say anything to me other than to ask my name- no welcome not even a hello. She didn’t ask to see my ID or my credit card. "We got a suite room for a great price and it was just what our family needed on our road trip. The separate room allowed the crying baby to be taken out of where everyone else was sleeping. Everyone we interacted with was kind. The hotel was clean. We enjoyed breakfast, which included yummy scrambled eggs, sausage, belgian waffles, buscuits/gravy, hot oatmeal, 4 cereal options, and bagels/toast. If we travel this way again, we will be back. "

"The stay was good, but not great. The pool has a chemical imbalance that left my child’s eyes a bit irritated ( more than normal). The place was undergoing some renovations, so I’m sure that factored into some of the cleanliness issues. All in all, not bad. Not the best Hampton Inn we have stayed at, but better than any other chain we’ve stayed at. "

"Rooms are to far from the check in. Tv's are small and not smart tvs. Restaurants in the area are limited at best. Bluefield i am.afraid is stuck in a time warp and so is this hotel. I could smell the stinch of years of cigarette smoking in my room even though the hotel is smoke free."

"What a quaint little B&B. Stayed in the George Washington Room. Nice comfortable beds. Excellent star worthy breakfast they bring you in their cafe. If you need options due to allergies or food intolerance, Kit and Gary will take care of it. The staff is very kind and always helpful. True southern hospitality.
