Review of Royalton Negril: A Disappointing Experience
I recently stayed at Royalton Negril, and it was by far one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I arrived, the problems began. My Expedia reservation was not acknowledged, and I was unexpectedly asked to pay more than what was quoted.
My guests and I were left waiting for over six and a half hours before we could access our rooms, which was incredibly frustrating after a long day of travel. During that time, we had to request water and food, only to find the options available were limited and unappetizing.
The staff lacked basic customer service skills and empathy, making an already stressful situation even worse. Throughout our stay, we experienced multiple power and water outages, which added to the overall discomfort.
The dining experience was equally disappointing. The food in the restaurants was often overcooked, cold, and of low quality, and room service was virtually non-existent, with many items unavailable. To top it all off, the air conditioning in the restaurants was turned off, leaving us feeling hot, fatigued, and lightheaded.
Despite my attempts to reach out to management and guest relations, no one ever came to address my concerns. This was supposed to be a special trip for my 48th birthday, but it turned into a series of unfortunate events. I would not recommend Royalton Negril to anyone seeking a pleasant and relaxing getaway.
