We booked this place thinking that it would be a good stay during our time at Naxos.
Far from the truth. Upon arrival, someone who we did not understand and he did not understand us showed up to show us the stay.
After staying in the room for about one hour, the AC in the main bedroom that my wife and I and baby would be sleeping in started dripping water. Making puddle in the room, I closed the AC and called tried to get in contact with them.
I explained to them the situation and they said they’d send someone out next day. My wife was very clear on the phone we need a refund and we will not stay at an hotel that the AC needs to be fixed we were there for vacation not a maintenance. We did not want to be sleeping without AC, in 85 degree weather, with a baby.
The person over the phone seemed to be understanding after asking us to wait one day, we said no, she said she will refund when hotels.com contacts her. We trusted her word. And proceeded to book at a hotel.
Just to our surprise, hotels.com explained that the owner did not agree to a refund and said NO.
When the issue is coming from YOU, as an owner, you take the responsibility and provide the guest the refund knowing you agreed to that and they never stayed even one night with you. It is not our responsibility to stay with you with a dripping AC.
