"The property is great and well maintained. The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious. Perfect place to rest after a day of travel . The only downside , thought the fee for covered parking was a bit steep. However, there are some free spaces on the road that can be utilised if you are comfortable. "

"Property has been totally renovated in an Art Nouveau/Deco style with the finishes across the entire hotel of a very high standard. The rooms are very well appointed and the public areas - bar, lounges, dining areas - finished in a sophisticated manner reminiscent of high end hotels you would find in London and Paris. Great Property

"Ideally situated above a cafe serving wonderful food and ran by the same property manager as the apartment. Nothing is too much trouble. The apartment itself was spacious, well equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher (not that we used it)! Plenty of hot water, shower had good water pressure and there were laundry facilities on the same level, also an excellent wifi signal. There's a large flat screen TV on the wall but we never turned that on. We stayed for 6 weeks in total and had a couple of minor issues (light bulb blown) and these were dealt with the same day they were reported. I cannot fault the apartment in any way, highly recommend it to anyone and would certainly try to book here first, should we be lucky enough to visit Australia again in the future."

"We enjoyed our stay very much - such a great location and the unit is well appointed. We would have appreciated tea towels, a top sheet for sleeping and another pillow slip on pillow in the cupboard, a tablet a day for the dishwasher and soap on tap for the kitchen. This did not detract from our comfort and world recommend. "

Esplanade Beach House with beautiful sea views

Stunning, calm paradise in a great location.

"We are 5 friends aged between 50 and 60 and we stayed at this amazing house for 3 weeks from late November to middle of December. Communication from Carolyn was great, from my first enquiry about the house to our last day, just before leaving. This is a stunning, characterful house, full of charm and in a great location with an amazing view. It is also a home from home with all the home comforts of washing machine, dryer, dishwasher and a piano!! The beds are really comfy with plenty of bedding and extra duvets if you need them. We had plenty of room and mainly spent time in the back room but the living room is massive and we had a meal for 9 of us with fabulous views of the ocean. For our morning cuppa we sat out front watching the birds and Semaphore life pass by... so relaxing. You don't need a car because Semaphore Road is only a 5-10 min walk with everything you need including a supermarket, bottle shop, coffee shops, food outlets and bars. The nearest train stop is at Peterhead and is a 14 min walk. The trains are every 30 mins and cost only 2 dollars off peak!!! We absolutely love this house and have already booked to stay again. It was lovely to meet Carolyn and Pete and we can't wait to go back. Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home. "
