"Located a few miles from our family cabin, I'm so thankful I found the Oar House for the weekends when a LOT of family is up at the cabin! It was a great place for my kids and I to stay. I had trouble with the keypad, but the owner was able to unlock the door remotely, and then I used the key for the front door the rest of the time. "House was cozy and comfortable. Off-street parking and close to many sites: Penn State, Everett RR, and Horseshoe Curve. Also close to numerous local restaurants: John&George’s, Al’s Tavern and Stone Cellar. Would recommend all three. Overall, nice house and location. Would stay there again."

"We had a phenomenal time at Alan’s mountain home. We skied 2 days, we easily walked to the lift and came home for lunch and went back out. It is so nice to not have to get in your car with the gear. The house is huge and had everything we needed. We had 3 families with young children and we all slept well, felt safe and made amazing family memories. "Staying on top of Blue Knob Mountain was a perfect locale for our church youth group. The house is just off the slopes, demanding a short walk to get to and on the hill. The house has terrific heat and a wonderfully responsive owner. The check-in process with the key was simple and straightforward.
