Welcome to the Orca View suite, located in a desired North Nanaimo neighbourhood. Some of the best beaches/parks are minutes away. Shopping & all major amenities, including a bus route are 5 minutes away. This 1 bedroom suite has spectacular panoramic ocean and mountain views. The suite is styled with modern furniture with a nautical vibe. Enjoy use of the BBQ and relax in the sun filled backyard while taking in the views of the west coast. This suite comfortably accommodates up to 2 guests.

I am a new host of this suite. The previous host had a 5-star rating with great reviews! I have included some screen shots in the image gallery. The home owners live on the property and share the backyard.

Welcome to the Orca View Suite located in a desired North Nanaimo neighbourhood. This ocean facing suite features panoramic views of the Strait of Georgia and Coastal Mountain Range.

The suite is located on the lower level of a house and has a private entrance. The suite comfortably accommodates up to 2 people.


The bedroom is fitted with a queen bed and has ample closet space to accommodate longer term stays. The desk in the bedroom can be used as a designated work space for guest working mobile.

The kitchen is equipped to prepare basic meals and includes a induction cooktop, apartment size refrigerator, dishwasher, and small appliances such as Keurig coffee machine, kettle and a toaster. There is a kitchen table and chairs for 4 people. Guests are welcome to enjoy the complimentary coffee and tea.

The kitchen and living room have an open concept layout with a picture window featuring spectacular ocean and mountain views. There is a Smart TV in the living room and a modern style couch to relax on.

Enjoy the European heated floors throughout the suite and the ambiance from the electric fire place.

There is one full bathroom that includes a tub/shower combo. Guests are welcome to use the complimentary shampoo/conditioner and body wash.

Enjoy use of the private covered patio with a small grill for outdoor cooking.
The covered patio has a table and chairs for outdoor dining. Also enjoy the Ocean from the chairs at the edge of the yard.

There is no washer/dryer in the suite. Access to the washer and dryer may be available upon request. Complimentary laundry detergent will be provided.

The closest beach access is located at Seabold Rotary Park just a few steps away! The wide, winding staircase down to the beach is about 150 steps and may be difficult for some guests to navigate. The trek down to the beach is worth it for those wanting to picnic, swim, and explore the beach. On the Seabold Park stairs at bottom, it is kind of rough and it is best to head right. From there to Blueback on Icarus Road, it is an amazing beach walk, the water is clear and shallow, gets deeper gradually for water activities especially at low tide. Ideal for swimming. Other beaches and parks close by include Neck Point Park and Pipers Lagoon. Both of these parks/beaches have easy access to the beach and are easy for most people to navigate.

Guest parking is located on the right side of the driveway. Street parking is free. Ideally, the guest will bring 1 vehicle and park in the driveway.

Guest must be physically fit to walk down a stone path way on the right side of the house that leads to the suite.

Access to the suite is located at the end of the pathway, on the other side of the gate.

Guest have a private entrance.

Guests will gain access to the suite key using a lock box. Guests will receive the lock box code 24-hours prior to check in via your booking channel messenger.

This suite is managed by a vacation home property management company.

Guests will correspond with a member from the guest services team through their booking channel.

About North Nanaimo

The neighbourhood of North Nanaimo encompasses has a great mix of Family homes, Luxury Real Estate, Condos, Retirement Communities and Commercial areas. It is also home to many stores such as Costco and Walmart, as well as family-run businesses and Nanaimo’s largest indoor mall, Woodgrove Centre.

There is a little bit of everything for everyone with plenty of restaurants, sporting opportunities, ocean views and plenty of walking trails and some of the best beach accesses in the city on many of the smaller side streets.

This suite is located in the Dover Bay area of North Nanaimo which has an awesome 2.5 km stretch of beach that is a real phenomenon at low tides. You'll be amazed at how few people are here - it's a well kept secret. And the views, looking northward across the widest part of the gulf. There is a park with beach access only a 2-minute walk from the suite.

It's a great place on a hot summer day at the lowest tide. You'll love the wide, flat sand/mud beach with its many creatures, stepping in the warm shallow waters, and swimming in big waves.

Or, you can plan a beach hike: Start at either end of the beach (Sealand Rd or Seabold Rd) and walk the length. Be mindful of tides. The walk will be easier if you go at lower tides, because at higher tides you're restricted to a rocky landscape with driftwood obstacles.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay at your residence. We wished we could have stayed longer. You thought of everything from plates and cutlery to outside patio furniture ( complete with two roses in a vase). It was a very nice touch! Just a heads up to anyone who walks down the 150 steps to the beach as it is quite precarious. Your best bet is to go to the park a couple doors down and use the stairs.
