Lovely little well appointed suite close to downtown, parks and restaurants

Our vacation rental is in our primary home, which means we are approved to keep offering our vacation rental after the new rules are in place in May of 2024. We have always operated 100% legally and will continue to do so.
Our property is a spacious 3.5 acre parcel with lots of gorgeous trees and outdoor space right in the middle of the city. We have a lovely roomy, newly renovated one bedroom suite that sleeps 4 in a quiet, residential area of Nanaimo. Great for couples on a get away, as well as small families. Space for all to spread out to stay and play with board games, sit by the fire in the living room or in the eat in sun porch and the generous outdoor areas. The bedroom features a California King bed, as well as a very comfortable queen sofa bed in the living room. The bedroom has black out motorized blinds to help you rest. Hotel quality mattresses, linens and well appointed kitchen and bathroom with gorgeous granite counters and large shower with built in seat to help you feel at home and enjoy your stay. There is a new salt water communal in-ground outdoor sports pool redone this year available in the summer season with a very large concrete deck area surrounding it with a fire pit. Just yourselves and occasionally the owners will take a cooling dip. The suite also includes a full laundry room with folding counter and brand new washer and dryer. This is truly a property you can choose to stay in at, cook your meals in the generous kitchen and relax with mother nature surrounding you. It is just a 5 minute drive to ocean-side parks, great restaurants and unique local shops to explore. Nanaimo is a small city located mid way on amazing Vancouver Island, home to many beautiful ocean side parks, great hiking on Mount Benson and lots of green space to explore and enjoy. We enjoyed a very comfortable stay, the owners thought of all the added comforts and the location of this rental is very central to the surrounding area so everthing is close by. Wonderful stay at the Bird’s Nest
We had wonderful stay at this property. Joy was lovely and accommodating and the pool was a big hit. It was a great home base to explore the area and we’d happily stay here again. We will be recommending this spot to our friends.

This property is immaculately cleaned and maintained. Linens are wonderful and the beds are very comfortable. All the amenities we could possibly require were available. The property is gorgeous, like being in a park.

We had an amazing stay! Joy and Chris were very welcoming and we truly felt at home there. The kids had a great time spending most of their days in the pool. I would stay there again in a heartbeat! And Joy really does make the best Nanaimo Bars in town!

A well stocked 1 bedroom in the lower section of a beautiful home on lush propery. Owners were very nice with the perfect balance of attentiveness and privacy. Comfortable bed, nice shower and private laundry made life easy! Great location.

Perfect for our needs
We were in Nanaimo for a sports competition, so this location was excellent for that as well as a close drive to food stores. The suite is indeed well appointed, organized, and very comfortable. We appreciated how restful it was, and our kids loved cooling off in the pool. Joy was an excellent communicator, helping make our trip easier.

Lovely owners who went above and beyond helping me with my dog so I could spend time with my newborn grandchild. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including driveway parking and no stairs (level entry). I have found my “go to” place for future visits. Above and beyond
We where moving to Nanaimo and needed a Vrbo that took 3 cats. Joy (Owner) is absolutely amazing and went above and beyond to help us out. Great place for a family retreat and very comfortable beds. Place was very clean and kitchen had coffee,teas and everything you need to prep a small meal. It has free wifi, cable tv, washer and dryer. It's relatively close to downtown Nanaimo and close to groceries and restaurants. Joy my family loves you and thank you once again for making us feel at home, you're an angel.

Bird’s Nest lives up to name
The property is very well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and user friendly. Sleeping quarters are spacious and beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed the plentiful birds and closeness to all amenities. Overall we would highly recommend the Birds Nest .

A Really Great Property to Stay
We chose this property as it was highly reviewed and had everything one would want or need for a great stay. This property and the hosts Joy and Chris did not disappoint in any way. Our family spent a week here and the property was spacious. The beds very comfortable and the overall property was clean and amply stocked with everything you would need. The hosts were most responsive and attentive to any needs or questions we had. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic to Explore from and Nest
The grounds are beautiful, full of grand trees and birds! Convenient and quiet location. Living areas are peaceful and relaxing, comfortable, spacious, with private laundry and 1st rate kitchen, perfect for a great 7 month relocation stay. Joy and Chris are super gracious, our feline fur babies welcomed and at home, so lucky and glad we found it!

Perfect for families
We had a wonderful stay here. The property is nicely maintained and the salt water pool was so much fun for the kids. Having access to laundry facilities and a pool was very nice for travelling with kids. Nice to get back after a day of hiking and be able to have supper and go for a swim before putting the kids to bed. The unit is also nicely stocked with kitchenware, spices, coffee, tea and some toiletries. The yard and flowers are also beautiful! Nice quiet neighbourhood and conveniently located.

NANAIMO STAY
This property is excellent if you are bringing your son or daughter to settle into University life. It is real close to the university. Close to a very nice grocery store. The lodging is extremely well appointed with various things that you could need during your stay. Lots not space to relax and very comfortable beds!!! The owners are very nice and very helpful! So glad we found this lodging as it sure made all the difference for us!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN JOY!!!!
