Big Vista is a spacious 900 sq. ft. Open Living Luxury suite. Big Vista has one of the best views on Vancouver Island. Guests will enjoy 220 degrees of uninterrupted views of more than 100 km of coastline across the Salish Sea. Big Vista offers guests a private, luxurious suite with classic styling and traditional ambiance.

Big Vista has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with high end appliances, granite countertops, and a gas stovetop. The views from the Great Room are spectacular. The suite has 1 bathroom with a walk in shower and full laundry. It offers 2 patios: one for the spectacular sunrise views and the other for the amazing sunsets. The Big Vista suite offers a library, games, a piano, a gas fireplace, and two TVs. The flooring in the suite is a beautiful cherry hardwood.

Big Vista offers a queen bed with freshly pressed quality linens and duvets for a luxurious sleeping experience. Fleecy robes are provided for the comfort of the guests.

Big Vista has a private entrance down 1 flight of outside stairs. Guests are encouraged to explore the large terraced garden and to enjoy the beautiful landscaping. Big Vista is located in a quiet neighbourhood and offers a peaceful, relaxing vacation. Beaches and trails are nearby, sea lions and whales are often seen swimming past, and the eagles are frequently found in the trees. Guests enjoy relaxing and enjoying the cruise ship views of the ocean. Big Vista offers a comfortable, luxurious vacation experience for visitors to Vancouver Island and Nanaimo.

Perfect destination in Nanaimo
This VRBO is a 12/10. Wonderfully organized, clean, with stunning ocean views. The kitchen amenities and quality of appliances were superb. The hosts bent over backwards to make us comfortable. Can’t thank John and Debby enough. Lots of ocean sites close by. It simply is PERFECT

Awesome place, such a cool area. We visited Tofino, great ride. The views at the house are spectacular. We watched two Bald eagles eating dinner right in front of us! Super comfortable stay, we will be back.

Perfect in EVERY way!
Right from the moment we arrived, it was clear it was the perfect place! The hosts were amazingly welcoming and very easy to reach when needed. The space was spotless and abundantly equipped (I mean everything you could ever want was included at this beautiful place! Everything - even binoculars so you could watch for whales and bald eagles out the huge panoramic windows!!) The view was breathtaking - even better than expected! This truly felt like "home away from home"! I HIGHLY recommend this wonderful place and if we are ever back in the area, there is no question where we will stay! Thank you Debby & John for sharing your gem of a home with us! :)

Best views on Vancouver Island
We had a great stay here. The place was so nice we had a hard time leaving even when we left for day trips to Nanaimo and Cathedral Grove. Saw whales and and assortment of wild life from the flat. Enjoyed the sunsets from the deck.

Eagles to Sunsets
Just what the doctor ordered. Our stay at Vista View was FANTASTIC! Pictures of the view across the straights don’t do it justice. From the eagles greeting us every morning to the beautiful sunsets sitting on the deck, everything was magical. Debby and John were excellent hosts. They met us warmly when we arrived and walked us through the apartment. It is very clean, well appointed, and had everything anyone could need. A great kitchen to cook in. It is as the pictures show. You can’t go wrong staying here. We will be back.

Beautiful Home and Neighbourhood
The property was exactly as listed and exceeded expectations .When you see the view , it’s spectacular, un-obstructed where wildlife abounds! The owners are amazing hosts and wonderful people. The kitchen was very well appointed and clean as was the tasteful living area , bed and bathroom. The neighbourhood was quiet , peaceful and felt safe. It’s situated nearby to “ Neck Point Park “ highly rated for things to do in Nanaimo. The deck is private , relaxing to the lapping sound of waves.Will be back in the future.

Cozy studio suite with everything needed for a weekend or more away.
The place had a full kitchen (with a full set of dish and cookware) if you feel inclined to cook, large bathroom with laundy facilities, and a lovely gas fireplace. Great view of the ocean to wake up to as well. All in all, the suite made it so we could forget about worrying about our accommodations and focus on enjoying our time away.

Absolutely beautiful view, very clean, and the hosts hospitable!
We were graciously welcomed; the home was very clean and had all the essentials, and then some; the view is spectacular from the two decks, and the very large picture windows! We brought food in, and barbequed one evening, because there is no better view in the area! We enjoyed talking with the hosts, who avoided being intrusive, but were a kind, interesting, and informative couple. We will look for opportunities to stay here again!

SUPER STAY
One of the best VRBO experiences we've had. The unit was beautiful, modern, cozy and had absolutely everything we needed. Lots of extra little touches (really appreciated little creamers for coffee). The views are absolutely STUNNING. Spent a lot of time at window looking out at Strait of Georgia. Quiet neighbourhood, great neighbours and short drive to Neck Point Park. Debby & John are amazing hosts & wonderful people. You can tell they really enjoy hosting. We really loved it!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Big Vista. Debby and John were excellent hosts. They took great care of their home, as well as their guests. Everything is as beautiful as it seemed online. This was our second visit to Big Vista and we are already planning our next one! John and Debby are incredible hosts who again provided a very warm and personal welcome when we arrived. We had absolutely nothing we needed to contact John and Debby about, during our stay, as they have provide every possible thing needed. The cleanliness, organization, beautiful decor, attention to every detail of the suite and the phenomenal and breath-taking views once again made our stay far beyond a five-star experience!! Thanks to Debby alerting us we were able to spot a pod of orcas passing by! 🙏🙏

If this is available, book it NOW! Amazing hosts and view. Beautiful inside and out!
Absolutely amazing! The view from the suite is like something I’ve never seen before anywhere I stayed in the world. It’s incredible for an ocean side property this beautiful inside and outside to even be available for short term rent. Yes, inside too. The suite is furnished and designed very elegantly and all colours go very well together. It is fully equipped with everything you could possibly reasonably expect a place to have - towels, cups, plates, garden table and chairs (to take in the aforementioned view), tv, and much much more. Quick drive to anywhere in Nanaimo and convenient to go anywhere on the island and even Vancouver (city). I saved the best about this property, however, for last, and that’s the kind hearted, friendly, gracious hosts, Debby and John! I could use many more positive adjectives. Easy to communicate with, help with anything you want and are great tour guides to the entire island. I could not possibly recommend this place any more if you’re in Nanaimo!

Fabulous studio style condo with everything and more that you might need during your stay. Not enough can be said about the fantastic view from inside or on the decks!
