"Fantastic stay in family chalet. Lovely sunset and sunrise. So very quiet onsite. Nice pool to cool off in afternoon sun. Great beer from brewery. Didn’t know what to expect but it easily surpassed our expectations. "

"Really spacious tent for four and very well equipped (except no can opener !). Massive bathroom and great catering bbq pack and potatoes salad. Only drawback was no soap or shampoo. Excellent burger in the restaurant. "

"A very well appointed lodge, upmarket rooms or large ensuite tents. In keeping with our safari theme we choose the tent. Large, 4 single beds, why 4 I don't know, very clean, large ensuite shower bathroom area at the rear. Similarly large kitchen area/veranda/dining area with river view. "There is a good bit of distance between each of the four tents, so it feels completely private. The setting is beautiful and peaceful. It’s the best of both worlds: the tent is equipped with everything you need for self-catering and braai, but you have the option of eating at the lodge restaurant too. "This is a wonderful place with breathtaking scenery and views. I could have spent days just looking and enjoying the peace and quiet. The breakfast and dinner was very tasty and they even considered that we are vegan. Their reforestation project is grandiose as well as what they do with the income. We enjoyed the time very much."

"The worst thing was that Wotif sold me accommodation that did not exist. For a group of ten, that was a problem. The staff were very helpful in sorting something else. Wotif was a near disaster. Property has moved and is under construction. Taking tht into account, it was excellent. We had dinner. We had two people who were gluten free and told them. Part of dinner was not gluten free, but they did then prepare something appropriate."

"Etendeka offered a very different experience and one which we thoroughly enjoyed. It would not suit everyone though. The drive from the pick up point is over an hour but provided opportunities for wildlife spotting. Our tent was comfortable and as expected. All meals were eaten at one long table and the food was good and in home cooked style. The trips out, the morning walk and afternoon drive were excellent.
