She was very quick to respond to questions. The location of the Gingerbread House itself is generally located in the middle of Maui away from the resorts, where we were able to enjoy a more authentic Hawaiian experience. "Pineapple Cottage is probably the loveliest property we've ever rented. Ivy and Steve were friendly and accommodating but not intrusive, and the location was perfect for exploring places like Haleakala and the road to Hana. Haiku is a great town with friendly nontouristy restaurants and a market that served us well. The cottage is lovingly cared for and the view from the lanai is better than in the pictures. We wanted to take a gecko or two home but left them to greet the next guests!"

"Absolutely great stay here! We stayed one night to break up our “Road to Hana” trip but we could have easily stay a couple more nights. Don’t hesitate to book here. Ola and Monyca are great hosts and the cottage is really nicely done. This cottage is 5 minutes from town and just a couple minutes from Hana Farms where they have outdoor seating with some really good wood fired pizza. When we come back to Hana, we will 100% be back here."
