"Very traditional Japanese hotel. Enjoyed the experience but as an American, I didn’t think the food was very good and I typically love Japanese food. There was an excessive use of gelatin coating on many of the dishes. Also, 2.25 hours for dinner was too long. We waited 15 mins after finishing each course to get the next one. "

"We had an amazing time at this Ryokan - traditional Japanses hotel. We had a junior suite, so spacious, itcwas so relaxing. Buffet breakfast, good selection was included. We had kimonos, socks and shoes in room and traditional sweets in room everyday with an explanation of their origin. Would recommend the teahouse evening with tea house tour. Walking takes 30 mins to castle and centre."

"This was my favorite stay out of all of my accomodations in Japan even if I was only there for a day (wish I stayed longer!). Soku-san and his wife are the kindest people ever and offered amazing hospitality. Gao is the cutest dog I've ever seen and I was super happy to get a picture with him at the end of my stay. "Our family booked 2 rooms and stayed one night at the hostel. Check-in was easy as the property owner provided clear details 1-2 days prior check-in. I must say that the property owner was quick and responded within a day to my questions The rooms and toilet were clean and comfortable with toiletries provided.
