"At first glance, the property looks abandoned. We drove right past it. There was a restaurant attached, but is now closed, hence the empty look. However, upon check in, staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and comfy. The hotel is right off the main road and in walking distance to restaurants, and Olde Mystick Village. Good value for the $$. "

"House of 1833 was the most unique B&B we have ever stayed in. When we arrived, we were greeted by Evan, who was simply delightful. Entering the home, at first glance when going inside, we were overwhelmed by the beautiful antiques and collections, the ornate decorations and the simple beauty of the stately home. After a lovely tour of the home Evan took us to our room - the "Ivy" room - which was lovely. It was a nice touch for an old home like this to have a TV in the room as some don't do...
