"Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out. "It is a great base to discover Muscat and surrounding areas. Close to some Malls and not far from beaches and Muttrah and more. Fairly new. Bathroom is a wet room so 'interesting'. We would have used the hotel restaurants more but for one very poor experience that then put us off. Will still probably use the hotel again though."
