"Great property, location and amenities. Beautiful water views from apartment bedrooms and balcony. There were a few members of the public congregating outside the property after hours talking into the early hours so there was a bit of noise but that’s outside Mantra’s control. Everything else was perfect for a comfortable and value for money stay. Undercover parking a bonus to keep cars secure from theft and in case of storms. Highly recommended and happy to stay again - thank you!"

"We enjoyed our stay at Beaches. The kids were kept entertained with the mini golf and loved the pool. Good BBQ facilities. Clean, tidy apartments with everything we needed at hand!"

"This is a lovely apartment with a great view. There are some things that need improvement, the outdoor chairs are very uncomfortable and seat you so low that I couldn’t see the view over the balustrade. There were a few window winders that were broken and some long term dust on the bedroom window that fell onto the bed when I closed the window. But saying that I enjoyed my time there and loved Nelson bay. "

"The only good was the convenient location. The room was terrible, black mould in multiple places throughout the bathroom, room smelt terrible likely due to the mould and my friend had difficulty breathing, heater wouldn't work so was freezing in the room after having the window open to try and air it out. Bed was hard and uncomfortable also. Have tried to contact the property to address the issues with this place twice with no responses. Not worth the risk to your health staying here"

"The location of the property was awesome. So close to the beach and the main area of Newcastle, we loved being able to go to breakfast with a stroll to the beach. Had an issue with wifi which the hosts resolved. All amenities provided to make it a comfy stay. We had no issues but wouldn't recommend if you have mobility issues as the passageways to access the apartment is by narrow lanes around the side of the main property. "

"We had a great time exploring Nelson bay. The hike up mount tomaree was breathtaking, local food was yummy, the shops were fun to browse through. Everything was an easy walking distance. The stay was incredibly rejuvenating and stress free. We loved the pool and spa, views were top notch, beds comfy and the house had everything we needed. Thanks for a great stay!"

"Our stay at Marty's was fantastic! The location is perfect, with beautiful beaches all around and just a short walk to them. It's ideal for beach walks and exploring the area. The pool area is beautiful, complete with BBQ facilities, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The accommodation was spotless on arrival, and the process for getting the keys was incredibly easy. Overall, it was a delightful and hassle-free experience. Highly recommend! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. "

"This was a very comfortable apartment apart from the stairs which we 71 year olds were still able to manage but would be a problem for more elderly people with mobility issues. The only difficulty we had was negotiating our larger vehicle into the very small garage space. This was our fault though as we forgot to check that out prior to confirming our booking. We found the apartment perfect for inviting our son and his little family of two school aged children for a meal and the kitchen...

"A great location very handy to restaurants, supermarket, walks and beach. Very spacious accommodation - great for us to prepare meals. Amazing large balcony area to relax and enjoy. "

"Carpet smelt of age and was torn. Single beds were so small, feet hung over the end obviously they were for children. No bath mats or hand towels. Extra charges would apply for a number of simple things if you didn’t comply. View was good and neighbours were friendly. Wouldn’t stay there again. Also we’re bombarded with what we could and could not do! Easy walk to Shoal Bay."

"Property needs double glazed windows, noise from road and people on the street is loud... Softer mattresses and fresh pillows (they were yucky) Pantry has no basic items - would help if it had sugar, tea and coffee... Otherwise - beach is heaven! Easy spot, easy place to stop and good price."

"We were there to celebrate a birthday and relax after a stressful few months, the weather was good, so it was relaxing around the pool. Location is good, plenty of good restaurants wishing walking distance, so no need to worry about driving to go out for a meal and a few drinks. As it I an older property the rooms are spacious."

"What a cute hotel! Everything from the old school suitcases at the reception desk to the flamingos and leaves in the elevator. The room was smaller than I anticipated but the bathroom was a good size. The balcony was also extremely small. The bed, well that was the problem. The one side sagged so badly that when I sat on it, I was almost sitting on the floor. Lying on it I felt like I was going to roll off. I also felt that I was laying in a V with my head and legs where they probably should have been and my body sagging. Should I have gone done and asked someone if we could change rooms? Yes but I don’t want to be an inconvenience. Also the curtains did nothing to block out the light since they were a good inch or two from the top of the ceiling. "
