Feel a bit conflicted with my stay at the Little National. It’s a beautiful modern new build but my apartment room was terrible. For some reason I was given a wheelchair accessible room - great that LN offers these rooms but for an able person, the wheelchair accessible room left me feeling like I was staying in a hospital room complete with a wheelchair toilet, support seating in the shower and support rails. Adding to my disappointing room experience, the fridge had a very loud rattle which housekeeping just turned off for me in the end and there were hairs in my bed, in the bathroom sink and shower. The next day, housekeeping also left cleaning cloths in the kitchenette. On the plus side, I did have a wonderful experience in the lounge bar. Great space, fantastic menu and I had a wonderful cocktail (or three) and a couple of delicious share plates delivered with exceptional service. Nearly didn’t want to stay the second night booked as I was so put off with my room and it’s a shame as the hotel has so much potential.

“Great Stay at Little National Hotel” I had an excellent experience staying at the Little National Hotel in Newcastle. The property is in a prime location, making it easy to walk to all the main attractions the city has to offer. The room was incredibly clean, quiet, and equipped with high-tech features, including a Nespresso machine and a large TV screen. The soundproofing was impressive, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. I also appreciated the easy, self-service check-in process, which was smooth and hassle-free. Parking was available for an additional $35, which was convenient. Overall, the combination of great amenities and the modern feel of the hotel made for a very comfortable stay.

Nicely done hotel we’d happily return to. Concept is compact rooms but decent shared spaces - lounge and “library” (no books) work area, good sized gym. Nicely designed and very comfortable. Room has everything you need. Lounge and bar were good for an after dinner drink, attentive and friendly service. If you are staying in the area would certainly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay, it was very nice and good value for what we paid. Our only issue was the offered EV charging, $35 a night to park and then $5 per hour on top of that to charge at only 7kwh (paying $0.30 per kw).

They had all the little extras, I forgot my toothbrush and there was one there for me. It’s the small things, a lot of hotels have stopped doing it. Being brand new it was modern and comfortable had everything we needed. A bit awkward to have only access on one side of the bed but fine for us. Great weekend stay and would return.

This is my kind of hotel! Really clean, new, state of the art controls for lights and blinds. Everything I needed for one. Would be good for 2 people if not spending too much time at the hotel. Bed was comfy, liked the little touches with alternative milk options and T2 teas. Also like the waterfall shower. Will stay again.

Fire alarm went off twice while in the hotel. First 9:30 at night with a message from the duty manager saying it was no emergency… then again at 3:30am. Not so much fun. While hotel was evacuated. No staff present. No directions. We were all outside for maybe 45 minutes… finally alarm was turned off… from somewhere… still no direction from staff… some patrons re entered the hotel but going access the floors. Finally a staff member came outside and says we could go back in. Definitely could work on emergency direction for patrons. On check out a few hours later, no apologies, just a shrug of shoulders and ‘it was next door doing work on their panel’ at 3:30am?! I think not Having said that, the room was great. Location an long, but easy and pleasant walk.
