"The hosts were so welcoming and the apartment was perfect for our family. The bikes were great and able to use on the bike path. Spent everyday outside at Shawnee and came back to lovely apartment and garden/ hot tub to relax. A fantastic getaway!"

"Property itself was not in bad shape. The kitchen , bathroom, and bedrooms were clean with all necessary equipment. Although the smell of the old house was strong and the neighborhood was not the best. But the property is surrounded by a patch of nature and relatively close to the national parks that we came to explore."

"Property was spacious, exceptionally clean and kitchen has everything you need. We explored the outside property and when we came back everyone in our group, including the dog, had ticks on them. Obviously no fault of the owners but just be aware to do a thorough tick check upon returning. Close to Garden of the Gods and Rim Rock. It’s a remote location and takes about 10 mins from main road. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this cozy spot near Shawnee National Park! The views were absolutely beautiful, and the peaceful setting made for a perfect getaway. One of the highlights was getting a tour of the owner's small working farm—we loved meeting the animals and learning more about the property. She also gave us some great hiking recommendations that led us to some amazing trails we might have otherwise missed.We’re already looking forward to coming back when the pool is open and the weather is even warmer. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking to relax and explore the beauty of southern Illinois!"
