"The bedroom overlooks a stream. The bed is very comfortable, and a third person could sleep next to the queen bed on the day bed. The bathroom with the shower and jacuzzi, kitchen, and sitting areas are all fabulous—like out of a magazine. It's very private. The only downside was when it was dark, the road was hard to see. "Beautiful, quiet location next to river with spectacular views of covered bridge & VT landscapes! Clean, cozy, bright, rustic home in wonderful rural Woodstock area. Home is conveniently close to most highways & the center of town. The spacious rooms have mix of period & contemporary furniture, adding to the charm. "Location was awesome, house met the description and was comfortable. Stayed with dog and 3 kids. Doors (or walls?) were a little drafty in the winter, but heating seemed to be ok. Heated floors in bathrooms were really nice. Suggest more than 2 dishwasher tabs per renter. Basement is quite cold but we didn't need to use it for sleeping. Still, 5 stars, great property and would stay again."

"Enjoyed our 2-night stay at this home. Situated between Rt100 and the West River, it has direct main road access with the natural ambiance of river floating by. We could hear/see ducks and geese in the morning. The back deck was covered with a snow pile that we had to shovel to gain access to the grill for our Spring visit. "The host put a lot of thought into the space, with a cute gift of local maple syrup, a binder full of nearby things to do and restaurants, and overall the space was clean and well maintained. Nice historic location, we had fun walking around the town. This was a fun stay as we drove up for the solar eclipse and drove to our viewing area the next morning. Minus 1 star, because though the home did appear clean, there did seem to be a kitchen mouse. Made the property owner aware of this issue."
