"Lovely modern gite in the heart of Ardeche and equiped to a high standard. The driveway is a bit steep for a low profile car, mine ended up with scrapes under the bumpers but with care it was possible to monoeuvre. In truth the only real downer was the pool which is the largest I've ever seen for the sole use of a single gite but was simply too cold. I was assured the pool was heated but you couldn't tell, such a shame."

"We loved the gite, it was clean, everything was well catered for and it had a great setting. Michel and Martine were great hosts and left us to enjoy our holiday but were around if we needed them. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday and would recommend to friends to stay there and we would gladly go back. The rugby matches we saw in St Etienne were great, fantastic atmosphere and great to watch with people from so many different countries attending."

"We (2 adults, 2 children) stayed in this property for a week in August. The property was very clean and everything was in good working order. Night-time and early morning temperatures were low due to the altitude, but it soon warmed up and by lunchtime it was quite hot. Le Chambon-sur-Lignon is quite small, but it has all the shops you might need during your stay (bakers, supermarkets, ice-cream parlours, pharmacy, etc.). "Très belle demeure avec des chambres hyper spacieuses avec chacune une salle de bains et un wc. Bel espace clôturé pour un petit chien. Il est juste dommage que le temps n'ait pas été au top. "We really enjoyed our 2weeks here. The morning sunrises were amazing! Loved having the space to spread out, it is quite a hill to walk up on the way back from town but we got used to it and helped our fitness! The town has so much to see and again we loved being able to see the 3 major icons from our house. Just be aware it has stairs(15 steps to first level and 15 to top level, very squeaky too ha! ) was fine for us but incase u r older or impaired could be an issue."
