The grandchildren were looking forward to learning and watching milking etc but there was no opportunity to do this. "Booked at last minute for a short break with a friend. House had everything we needed for our stay. Owner lives in part of house next door but he keeps himself to himself and left us to it so it isn't an issue. Great location to discover places in the area. Only downside is nothing in walking distance for the evenings so you have to rely on a car but otherwise great."

The owners house was closer than it seems in the photos but she left us to ourselves unless we needed something. "On arrival hot tub disgusting not fit to use, however this was rectified quickly and sorted on the Monday. 1st floor toilet out of order meaning guest had to use toilet on other floors which was very inconvenient with children. Curtain poles in bedroom fell down every time a window was opened or closed. No lamps worked in that bedroom and several light bulbs were not working throughout the property. It was very dark downstairs lighting could do with upgrading. No hand basin in downstairs...

The village itself (a very short walk) is tranquil with basic amenities - Bakery, farm shop, bar, restaurant and pharmacy. The house is cosy and very well equipped for your stay. We would heartily recommend to other families. We expect we will visit again!"
