"The cottage was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Sweden. A short distance from our family and Minna provided everything we needed. Her guide to all the local shops and restaurants was especially helpful. Cozy and comfortable. A quiet and beautiful location."

"The cottage was super-warm and cosy, clean and stylishly decorated. The location is quite remote (about 15 minutes drive into Ystad) and there are no facilities on your doorstep. Bearing this in mind, it would have been lovely to find a pint of milk in the fridge for tea/coffee on arrival. Also, the kettle was broken - a minor issue as we used a saucepan to heat water, but I seem to remember a previous review mentioned this, so clearly the owner had forgotten to buy a new one. "Terrific! The house, while small, is new and quite well appointed. Our hosts were very warm and helpful. We jokingly called it the Hobbit House because, with the quirky local building code, the second floor loft had ceilings of only about 4 feet high. Nonetheless, we had a fine time and never really noticed any limitations the house size may have caused. In particular, the deck area was fabulous for dining and leisure time. "Hotel is good itself very quiet and calm downstairs lounge/bar. Rooms need to be soundproofed as at night you can hear all of your neighbours pillows should be changed from time to time because been just used and very basic toiletries it's nice to have shampoo conditioner or body lotion in the rooms"

"I've been staying in MJ's for many years. I love the atmosphere - very unique and amazing, great staff, fantastic breakfast - food and drinks and also the atmosphere (breakfast by candlelight). Really friendly staff, so helpful, I asked for a kettle to make tea in my room and got one immediately. Most rooms are very spacious and well heated (floor heating in the bathroom) and the windows can be open. Flamingos everywhere, I particularly liked the one in my bathroom. Bar is amazing, lots of cocktails and really nice wine, incredible atmosphere. The only downside was poor internet, but I managed a zoom meeting every morning, except I had to sit next to the door..... Hope to be back soon."
