The majestic and peaceful Villa Tramontana is located in the old idyllic village of Sveta Jelena, in the vicinity of Mošćenice above the Mošćenica Bay. It is only 25 km from Opatija, on the western slopes of Mount Učka, with a breathtaking view of the Kvarner Gulf.
Only a few minutes from the seaside, one of the most beautiful villas of the Opatija Riviera will make you feel at home. With its luxurious, cozy and exclusive surroundings, it is ideal for relaxation and pleasure. The house, completed in 2010, abounds in details, paintings and souvenirs conveying the exotic atmosphere of faraway travels of its owner, who has managed to transfer his love for interiors, nature and traditional architecture, combined with a sense of design, into everything that Villa Tramotana represents, leaving the doors wide open as a sign of welcome.
Villa Tramontana covers the area of more than 300 m2, surrounded by 3,000 m2 of terraces with a traditional Mediterranean landscape, teeming with lavender, rosemary, and naturally, olive trees, palms, evergreens ... Villa Tramontana is constructed in stone, with many wooden details reflecting the local building traditions of Istria and Kvarner. It consists of two floors.
The ground floor encompasses exquisite, luxurious master bedrooms with private bathrooms, each inspired by different style and history.
Etnica is the largest suite, with plenty of decorations from Africa and other cultures, including a large bathroom with a luxury jacuzzi.
The Country Room reflects tradition more than any other room in the villa. In addition to a typical Istrian window that opens from the bathroom to the bedroom, its antique furniture and decorations evoke history and the idyllic country life.
The Modern Room, on the contrary, will attract modern interior fans. Its bathroom has glass cubes separating it from the sleeping quarters, perfect for relaxation and comfortable sleep.
All rooms have a big balcony, ensuring full privacy combined with an amazing environment. The Eden area outside ensures memorable moments with its fireplace and grill.
At the main entrance level above the rooms there is a huge living room with large glass walls ensuring unity with nature and a breathtaking panorama of the Adriatic and its Kvarner Gulf, the islands of Krk and Cres and the lights of the biggest port and city in the region - Rijeka.
A chain of beautiful seaside towns of Volosko, Opatija, Ićići, Ika, Lovran, Mošćenička Draga extends in the other direction of Rijeka. Passing through Brseč, the road will take you to the biggest Istrian city of Pula.
The living room, dining room and the kitchen are a unique dynamic multi-level unity. The kitchen mirrors the typical Istrian stone architecture (the so-called kažun). It is round, but with all the comfort of a contemporary kitchen. Although its construction is traditional - stone (with a pebbles mosaic on the floor), it fulfills all the contemporary needs with its extra-large refrigerator, ice machine, cooking working area, and the glass-ceramic stove, sink with a shower faucet, a dishwasher and high-quality dishes. The central part of the dining room consists of a massive wooden table for 10 persons.
Above the dining room, in the open space gallery under the roof there is another bedroom with a king-size bed. The villa can easily host 10 people and is therefore ideal for families, friends or business events (team-buildings, presentations and various events).
Undoubtedly one of the highlights of the villa is a big infinity pool (12 x 5 m, 2 meters deep), instilling the impression that the sky and sea are one. Comfortable chairs and umbrellas will allow you to relax in peace with a refreshment or a book, good music or in company with friends, surrounded by nature, vegetation and the view of the sea.
For those who like to eat outside, there is a covered terrace in a shaded area and a magnificent view of the sea with another wooden table for 10 people. The terrace is next to the kitchen and the living room.
Parking is provided for 3 to 4 cars and a small park-playground is available for children.
Villa Tramontana gets its name from Vertus Transmontanus, one of the mountain winds blowing from the north. Reaching the sea it announces nicer weather.
We hope to make your stay in Villa Tramontana unforgettable, in one of the most beautiful places on the Adriatic.
