I chose this hotel because of its association with the spa which is across the street. Overall the experience wasn’t bad but there are definitely things that could be improved:
1. The tv didn’t work. They said that the service provider was down in the whole area, which seemed unlikely for the entire time I was there. They said it wasn’t their fault and offered nothing else.
2. Despite it being a non-smoking hotel, one day it smelled like cigarette smoke when I returned to my room midday.
3. The lighting in the halls is absolutely horrible. It is dark with blue track lighting that offers almost no visibility.
4. The continental breakfast was so basic and not replenished for the duration of the hours. What was provided (muffins, toast) did not taste fresh.
5. Construction - makes it difficult to access the hotel and noisy even early in the morning!
6. Bathroom was tiny, shower even smaller.
7. AC unit was extremely loud but if you turned it off the room was boiling hot.
Some pros:
1. Bed was comfortable
2. Proximity to the spa.
3. Location on the river was nice and peaceful (when you block out the construction).
