Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier Tapestry Collection by Hilton
3.5 star property
8.6 out of 10, Excellent, (47)
"The room was very comfortable and clean, fairly recently updated. I thought it was quite nice. The elevator was broken so we had to haul our bags up to the third floor and hike back and forth. That part was not fun. The shampoo container on the wall in the shower was empty. It's an older hotel, not fancy, but decent. We had breakfast in their restaurant and it was good, not great. The avocado toast was a total rip-off. Overall, I thought it was a decent place to stay."

Because of a winter storm, I was concerned about driving to the house on my scheduled start date. The owner agreed to let me check in a day early, ahead of...

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"This cabin is a wonderful stay for those who want to avoid hotels and love the outdoors. The cabin is nestled in the low-lying mountains around Montpelier and has quiet, gorgeous woods surrounding it. It's a bit of a bumpy ride getting there but we were amazed it was only took 15 minutes to get to downtown Montpelier. The cabin does only have one bedroom but it has several beds and a great wide screen HDTV. It has great, high-speed Internet and a gas fireplace. The shower is amazing and the...
