This has been one of our favorite vacation rentals ever! The lake views are gorgeous from either the living room with a fireplace and big screen TV or the sun room with its bank of windows overlooking the yard. We saw deer and blue heron, squirrels and blue birds.
The furniture in both rooms is comfortable, each with a couch and chairs with plenty of pillows.
The kitchen was well stocked and the freezer has an ice maker. The grill outside worked great and our steaks tasted amazing.
The bedroom we stayed had a king size bed that was so comfortable. Not too hard, not too soft…just right. There were extra blankets and pillows in the closet.
There are several comfortable places to sit outdoors, on the deck or out on the stone patio where you can build a small campfire. All with fantastic views of the water.
The covered dock on the water is another beautiful place to sit and there’s a small, clean sandy beach area right beside it. We took our folding chairs down and sat there in the sun with our feet in the water.
There’s a Dollar General maybe a mile away we used a few times for incidentals. Very convenient.
We drove into Monticello and ate a few meals and even found the Sac-O-Suds where the movie My Cousin Vinny filmed in 1992 and took some photos, bought a t-shirt.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, low-key, peaceful place to rest and rejuvenate, then this is the place for you. Jean is responsive and helpful and has gone out of her way to create a lovely vacation destination on Jackson Lake. Thank you, Jean! xoxo
