"We were absolutely delighted with Agriturismo Sasso Rosso. First of all, their location, midway between Assisi and Spello on a quiet road is wonderful. The place is actually a small farm and produces olive oil, several varieties of wine and a very good grappa. Claudia is a wonderful hostess, friendly and engaging. I thought not being in the center of town would be complicated, but everything was within walking distance and there are bikes if needed to have a shorter trip in town. The hosts were incredible. The grounds were incredible. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away to Spello or the surrounding area."

"We, a family of four, stayed at this lovely villa for one week, during the end of July and beginning of August. The place is stunning and had a wonderful pool area, trampoline and a football game for the kids. We had our rooms on the second floor and were able to use the downstairs kitchten which had everything you needed. During our stay it was very hot (35-39 degrees) and even though there were fans in our rooms it was not enough, AC would have given this place a full score. Other than that,...

"Camerino is closed completely because of the earthquake and will not be reopened in the near future. The hotel is first rate and in a beautiful setting but not really convenient for tourism on the doorstep. However, if you want a wedding or a small conference, it would be terrific. A peaceful & authentic stay

"We had a wonderful time staying at Maria Rosa’s as a family of 6 with 4 kids 11 & younger. It was a great price & had everything we needed for a week long stay. It was a nice place to use as a home base for exploring the area of Umbria (Don’t miss Assisi! It is amazing!) There was a well loved pool table & foosball table that our kids greatly enjoyed. We were able to cook with all the pots & pans we needed & the water was hot for showers. Keep in mind you definitely need a car & this is a well loved & well lived in flat so you get what you pay for which we were grateful for. Our highlight was walking up the road & watching the sun rise! The pool looked like it would be enjoyable if you stayed during the hot season, we missed out on that but stayed cozy with the wall heaters instead. If you are looking for a space to make a home base during your exploration of Umbria & also love the peace & beauty of being nestled in olive groves, this is it! Thanks Maria Rosa! "
