AIR FRESHENERS IN TYPICALLY MOLDY GROUND LEVEL SUITES AT OCEAN HIDING MOLD
Upon entering the residence I was poisoned by glade, fabric and other fresheners and possibly mold, I had terrible burning on my skin, I could taste the freshener in my mouth and became confused in my thinking. The renter refused to refund so I was unable to leave. They asked for my number and I provided it. They said a Pablo was calling from vrbo and no one called. I had nowhere to stay and my sister who rented the place for me said I had to stay if no refund was given. Mrs. Patricia said she could not authorize a refund but cancelled the booking. As I have fibromyalgia and am on disability for it, I had to guard my health. And had to move all rugs, bed covers, curtains and fabric covers sprayed with fabris. I removed the toxic substances outside which is poison, allergy and mould protocol for health and safety.
The next morning, agitated and toxic I had to both guard the owners fabrics whole I tried to work out the situation. Neither verbo nor the owner would confirm a refund yet threatened to remove me. As I got sicker I refused to leave. Then I left. A refund was never given. Only a credit. Both vrbo and the renter lied. My sister had paid for the property. I paid by getting sick. Only essential oils are hypo allergenic. Most people are scent sensitive. That vrbo is unaware of this is shocking. I have photos of the artifical sprays and 3 glade fresheners, one powered, that were used in the 15'x15' space. What a horrible experience. I went to another hotel. It's ground level suite had the same issue. They moved me to an above ground room. The best way to cure mold is with essential oils like camphor in a spray. Reduce fabrics in a room and put cushions in the sun to demold. I had to use anti-allergin and mould procedures to demold and de toxify, freshen the place by putting all fabrics rugs and cushions outside because VRBO did not call the Jamaican number I gave the owner but my Canadian number. This was miscommunication and ignorance on the part of the owner. Her housekeeping people accused me of trashing the place and ignored my allergy protocol and preferred to operate in ignorance. She has way too much fabric in a small space so it is ripe for capturing mold and odors. A pristine modern aesthetic would be easier to clean and less claustrophobic.
