Some wood was provided but we had to go up the hill to fill a wheelbarrow for another load. Internet access was sketchy at times. A weak signal. "Claudia has renovated and decorated this historic chateau beautifully. It still has the charm of the history, but with modern amenities. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-equipped and the showers were wonderful. The apartment was spacious and the grounds are peaceful and idyllic. It’s located perfectly for visiting the beaches, discovering William the Conqueror, and enjoying all Normandy has to offer. Also within an hour & half of Mont St Michel. Wish we could have stayed longer!"

"We had a lovely stay here for 10 days which felt very much like a home from home. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped and felt safe and secure in a small village Baudre. We visited all the Normandy landing beaches, the American Cemetery, Overload and D-Day Experience museums, Pointe de Hoc, Maisy battery, Pegasus Bridge and Caretan which were all 35 to 60 mins drive. We didn't make it to Mont St Michel. There were no real facilities in the hamlet but St Lo was only 5...
