"Had a wonderful one night stay with our dog. A lovely place to stay that is independently owned and regained many of its original features. Comfy bed with coffee machine as well as a kettle in the room. Guest lounge if you didn’t want to sit in your room. Breakfast was fabulous and set us up for the day. We will definitely be returning. "

"The property was clean and tastefully decorated. Our room was spacious and had a sitting area with a sofa. The bed was really comfortable and the bed linen and towels were very high quality. We ordered our breakfast the night before and it was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. The host was friendly and helpful. "

"I went to book into the hotel and it was closed, dark and empty. I tried to contact them on both numbers provided. Nothing. No answer, no call back. I tried all day and it was so frustrating and worrying as we had no idea where we were going to sleep that night. I left it until 5pm and then found another place to stay. Thought that perhaps something had happened and they'd be back the following day and may offer the two nights from then. Next day arrived and same fiasco. The hotel we had booked...

Couple of great recommendations for food. Location is right in the heart of this small town and with pubs and restaurants within a short stroll. Electric charging onsite is a bonus!! "A classic pub, the building is old but it is a lovely place to stay, 2 minute walk from the starcross train station. (which also has the ferry to Exmouth) The room was clean, bright and comfortable and the owners are very accommodating. Would happily stay here again"
