"The room was clean and comfortable. We had a room with a small balcony with beautiful views of the bay and, in the distance, the Aeolian Islands. Mama Lina and everyone else was very hospitable and friendly - we certainly felt at home. It is 5-10 minute drive from the town of Patti - we preferred that it was quieter than being in a town centre. It is helpful to know some Italian but if not you can always use Google translate! "We arrived at this hotel after some complications with googles directions (google maps does not know where this hotel is) and were greeted by the owner. He took us to our room and showed us around which is when we realized that he does not speak any English so communicating was challenging. In the morning he provided us with a nice breakfast in his beautiful restaurant."

"Nonostante fino a pochi secondi prima fossimo stati al telefono con una collaboratrice esterna, al nostro arrivo non c'era nessuno ad aprirci e una volta riusciti a entrare (sfruttando l'apertura del cancello da parte di un altro ospite) ci siamo dovuti arrangiare a trovare qualcuno che desse le chiavi della camera. Non dico "che ci desse informazioni" perché non ne abbiamo ricevute, né ne abbiamo trovate in camera. Nessuna info ad es. sull'utilizzo del wifi, che infatti non abbiamo mai potuto...

"It is very noisy at night ( Friday ).The bar next door plays loud music with people drinking in the street until 2am.!!!! Finally they go home at about 3am. It is such a shame because everything else is so good. I can not recommend it for this reason."
