"Wow what an amazing experience we had at East twin cottage carmichael, the property is a little dated but very clean and in an amazing location. We had deer field for our back garden and we even witnessed a deer give birth just meters away from us on quite morning! They people who run the business are so friendly and helpful. "We checked in a little late but this was not a problem as we called ahead. We found Eagle Lodge with ease. The lodge was clean and everything we could need. However, we did have to purchase air freshener as the lodge had a strong musty smell but it soon disappeared once we had been there for a couple of day'. The kitchen is very compact but more than useable. All rooms are a good size. The furniture is a mish mash. And I think some of it could actually belong in a museum but it was all...

"The farmhouse is simply stunning. Decorated to the highest standards, spotlessly clean and has every creature comfort you could wish for. Wonderful communication from the owner. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. "

"Property was spotless, beds comfortable, Wi-Fi very good, kitchen well equipped, though none of the odds and end like salt and pepper often found in a self catering place so take absolutely everything you need with you. Perfect wee village- pub excellent with a limited choice of pretty good pub grub and less than a 100yard stagger away! Lovely walks on the doorstep and beautiful scenery, and sheep."

"This is a superb cottage, finished to an excellent standard and very well equipped. There is no phone signal or WiFi which some people may not like but for us that just added to the feel of having a proper getaway in The Borders countryside. You can’t walk on the immediate estate but that really doesn’t matter as there are plenty of walks in the area. What made a big difference was the warm welcome from Julie who looks after the property and who provided a number of extras for us on arrival,...
