Enjoy the privacy of a detached studio apartment in the heart of midtown Mobile! Our street has a dead end so you're protected from heavy traffic. Walk to Hannon Park behind the Little Sisters of the Poor for a picnic and toss the frisbee, or catch a 10 minute uber ride downtown to see the Mardi Gras parades. The choice is yours!
The Space:
Our studio apartment is nestled above the one car garage in our fenced-in back yard. Feel free to enjoy the back patio off the main house, and if you're the grilling type, take advantage of the Kamado Joe (24 hour notice for grill use required). Note, however, this is a smoke free property (inside and out).
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the backyard and the entirety of the studio apartment. For long term rentals (>14 days) we can facilitate access to dedicated laundry facilities in the unfinished garage area under the studio.
The Neighborhood:
With a dead end to the south, Hannon Ave. is one of the quietest in all of mid-town. We have street parking available for guests which has never caused a problem, and walking under the 200+ year old oak trees will leave you dreaming of your next visit.
Getting Around:
Walk to Nixon's (the neighborhood watering hole) or Winn Dixie. Otherwise, downtown Mobile is less than a $10 uber ride in peak drive times.

Important Information Before You Book:
We're excited to host you! PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU'LL NEED TO SIGN OUR HOUSE RULES AND SUPPLEMENTAL RENTAL AGREEMENT AFTER BOOKING. SIGNATURES MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF THE RESERVATION (OR 4 HOURS BEFORE CHECK-IN, WHICHEVER IS EARLIER). If you have any concerns about this, feel free to book a different property. If you review the documents and decide it's not for you, we'll happily cancel your reservation free of charge.
Also note: before you arrive you will be asked to complete guest verification through our third-party health and safety partner, Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing our guests, neighbors, and our properties with important financial protection. Within this verification process (assuming your stay is < 15 nights) you will be given the choice between a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver. If you choose to go the non-refundable damage waiver route, the payment is remitted directly to Superhog and is payable in ADDITION to the pricing shown at the time of booking. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification. Please be sure to complete the Superhog verification process prior to arriving at the property so that we can facilitate a quick and easy check-in process. Traditional security deposits which must be paid outside the booking platform and before check-in apply to stays of 15 nights or more.
A few things we kindly ask of our guests:
1) Read through the property description and details in the booking application before you book and check-in.
2) Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the photos of the property.
3) Spend a few minutes to read and understand the House Rules and Rental Agreement - make sure your group gets a copy as well.
4) Keep an eye out for our messages with important instructions and details to make your stay comfortable. A simple "got it" in response is perfect!
If you can commit to these four simple things, we'll go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay with us. We're confident we can earn your five-star rating under these conditions.

HOUSE RULES:
We do not rent to guests that do not have a review. We do, however, reserve the right to make exceptions to this policy. Exceptions will be rare.
Unregistered Guests are $150 per person, per instance ($150 maximum per person, per night)
No eating or drinking outside of common areas.
If you use self and/or fake tanning products, please provide your own linens. Stains on linens as a result of tanning products, however caused, result in a $75 charge per set. For reservations longer than 14 nights you will need to make arrangements to bring your own bedroom and bathroom linens or pay a separate linens fee (this linen fee is optional bu would be in addition to the listed fare price).
Late checkouts incur a $50 fee immediately. If unit is not vacated within two hours of check-out time, guest is responsible for paying that day's base rate. (These fees do NOT extend the agreed upon stay duration).
No parking on the grass. On street parking only.
Owner is not responsible for damage to any guest vehicles, wherever parked.
Check-in: 4:00 PM on day of arrival (or earlier where previously agreed by owner in writing). Check-out: 11:00 AM on day of departure (or later where previously agreed by owner, in writing).
Damages in excess of the deposit will be billed to the guest and reported to Airbnb.
Please acknowledge that occasionally, we may leave consumables such as condiments or snacks left behind by previous guests if they are not empty. We try our very best to ensure that it is not expired or stale. HOWEVER, ultimately, it is up to the guests' discretion and inspection to consume these items if they wish. The host does not take any responsibility for the consumables.
If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
Interaction with Guests:
You'll have complete privacy for the entirety of your stay, but we also rent the main house on the property so you may cross paths with other guests on the premises. We will do our best to let you know if you should expect other guests on the premises during your stay.
